This role is dedicated to overseeing a substantial group of students during their lunch and recess periods within elementary school facilities. The primary focus is to ensure a safe environment while fostering positive interactions among students. Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and uphold suitable behavioral standards during lunch and recess.
  • Develop constructive relationships with students to enhance their confidence and engagement in learning.
  • Foster a collaborative atmosphere with kitchen, lunchroom, and school staff.
  • Guide students to various areas within the school grounds.
  • Address conflicts as they arise and report significant incidents to school leadership.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the lunchroom and oversee recess activities.
  • Organize and supervise safe play during recess.
  • Assist students in appropriate play and equipment use.
  • Support cafeteria operations when not supervising recess.
  • Encourage inclusivity and cooperation among students at all times.
  • Provide additional oversight as directed by school administration.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries with students and staff.
  • Promote fairness and respect within the school community.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Essential:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Adherence to required competencies.
  • Strong skills in teamwork, communication, and confidentiality.
  • A positive disposition towards working with children.
  • Capability to manage and enforce behavioral expectations.
  • Experience in supervising large groups of children.
  • Willingness to participate in training provided by the district.
  • Exemplary conduct, appearance, and communication abilities.
  • Basic proficiency in computer usage.
  • Ability to lift and carry moderate weights.
  • Consistent attendance and dependability.
  • Effective communication with diverse stakeholders.
  • Respect for diversity.
Preferred:Expertise in behavioral management techniques.Certification in first aid and CPR.Understanding of the behavioral patterns of elementary students.
