Clinical Allergy Specialist

A Clinical Allergy Specialist is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the United Allergy Services allergy center. This includes administering allergy tests, educating patients on allergen immunotherapy, and providing patient-centered care to those suffering from allergies.
This role requires a strong understanding of allergens, the allergic response, and UAS clinical protocols. The ideal candidate will be able to develop and maintain effective relationships with providers and medical office staff, while ensuring patient progress and timely follow-up.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain an understanding of allergens, the allergic response, and UAS clinical protocols.
- Administer safe and effective immunotherapy processes, including allergy testing and formulation preparation.
- Educate patients on administering injections with immunotherapy.
- Ensure patient progress by following up with patients and ensuring timely pick-up of immunotherapy.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and verify insurance eligibility for each patient.
- Administer patient scheduling through various channels.
- Handle and submit billing documentation to the appropriate office via EMR systems.
- Maintain and secure clinic inventory levels, ensuring timely ordering and receipt.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with providers and medical office staff.
- Escalate patient or other questions to the appropriate team member or provider in a timely manner.
- Meet strategic goals and objectives of the clinic and company related to assigned productivity and revenue.
- A minimum of one year of full-time equivalent work experience in a healthcare or hospital setting.
- Nursing or other medical technician certification(s) as required by state or local regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and ensure suitable results.
- Ability to travel periodically within the local clinical area.
- Computer experience required.
