Job Description:

This Contract to Hire position involves leading a team of Manufacturing Technicians on a brand-new lens assembly production line. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing or military service, as well as strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of Manufacturing Technicians
  • Maintain production records and support standard operating procedures using Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ensure compliance with production's Standard Operating Procedures
  • Oversee and supervise team activities, ensuring high productivity levels
  • Communicate effectively with the Manager to review problems and determine the best course of action
  • Maintain a high level of morale and discipline within the team

Requirements:

  • 7+ years in manufacturing or 3+ years of military service
  • 3+ years in a supervisory role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Mechanical reasoning and aptitude for running and understanding automated equipment
  • Ability to oversee and supervise a team
  • Reliability, dependability, and flexibility with a team player mentality
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

$70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
