Ergon Inc., a leading privately held company, is seeking a highly skilled Tax Director to manage tax reporting and compliance for its large, diversified organization. The successful candidate will oversee the timely and accurate filing of tax reports each month across 36 states and at the federal level.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Professional Accountancy and a minimum of 10 years of finance or accounting experience. Professional credentials, such as a CPA, are a plus. The Tax Director will be responsible for defining and resolving complex issues where fundamental principles do not clearly apply or where data appears to conflict.

The role requires strong leadership skills, with a team-oriented and collaborative approach to work. The Tax Director will also be responsible for staying abreast of changes in tax rules, regulations, and rates, and for providing tax research and advice to support all domestic companies.

The Tax Director will be a vital part of Ergon's tax team, working closely with other departments to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
