Position Overview
This is a full-time in-person role with a schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
The Registered Nurse is tasked with providing high-quality general and psychiatric nursing care to individuals participating in Intensive Outpatient or Partial Hospitalization Programs aimed at addressing psychiatric or emotional disorders. This role supports the hospital's mission and ensures the safety and well-being of each patient. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care, addressing social and emotional needs, overseeing medication schedules, and assessing patient progress.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of interdisciplinary professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
- Maintain a secure environment within the unit.
- Facilitate social support for patients by promoting engagement in support groups, social activities, and other therapeutic interventions.
- Conduct intake assessments through interviews with patients and their families to collect comprehensive case histories.
- Plan and implement nursing care tailored to patient needs.
- Make nursing diagnoses regarding the medical and emotional conditions of patients and suggest appropriate treatment options.
- Consult with psychiatrists and other behavioral health professionals to develop suitable treatment plans for clients.
- Administer medications and monitor for any adverse reactions.
- Coordinate additional medical care as required.
- Assist clients in understanding their emotional challenges and the importance of treatment.

Qualifications:
Education and Licensure:
- Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree required.
- Current RN license is mandatory.
Experience:
- Prior experience in psychiatric healthcare is preferred.
- Experience in a hospital setting is advantageous.
