Position Overview

OBJECTIVE

The primary responsibility is to ensure the precise registration of all individuals seeking services at Western Missouri Medical Center for medical evaluations and to verify their accounts. This role will also extend support to WMMC clinics as necessary.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute registration tasks as required.
  • Gather accurate patient demographic and insurance details.
  • Assess Benefits, Co-Pays, and deductibles.
  • Collect and input precise MSP information for Medicare beneficiaries.
  • Exhibit proficiency with equipment and utilize supplies and tools appropriately.
  • Demonstrate professional conduct consistently.
  • Operate independently, adhere to deadlines, and make informed decisions based on relevant information.
  • Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
  • Carry out additional essential responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Typing proficiency of 45+ words per minute.
  • Prior clerical experience is preferred.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities.
  • Self-driven with the capacity to function within the established guidelines and protocols of the medical facility.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to sit and stand intermittently for 8 to 10 hours daily.
  • Proficient in using standard office equipment, including telephones and computer keyboards.
  • Consistently work under pressure to achieve near 100% accuracy while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Regularly utilize manual dexterity, near vision, speech, and auditory skills.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and demonstrate eye/hand coordination and color perception.
  • Occasionally reach above shoulder height and regularly lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds.
  • Occasionally navigate uneven surfaces.
