Merchandising Specialist

Shore Point Distributing Co is a family-owned beverage distributor located in New Jersey that carries a wide range of national, regional, and local beers, as well as wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Merchandiser to join our team in New Jersey. As a Merchandiser, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products are displayed in an attractive and organized manner, maximizing sales and profitability.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and maintain product displays in accordance with company standards
• Ensure that products are properly stocked and rotated
• Collaborate with sales team to develop and implement effective merchandising strategies
• Assist in set up and breakdown of special events and promotions
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent. College education preferred
• Prior beverage industry experience preferred
• Ability to lift and carry heavy weight up to 50 pounds
• Experience in visual merchandising and retail sales
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with point of purchase displays
• Familiarity with hand trucks and other merchandising equipment
• Knowledge of retail merchandising best practices
• Valid drivers license and clean driving record required

Schedule:

Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, occasional overtime and weekends required (very seldom)
