Job Summary

West Suburban Medical Center seeks a highly skilled Medical Technologist Lead to join our laboratory team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of tests, analyzing data, and providing critical information to clinicians for diagnosis and treatment of diseases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in implementing new methods and procedures to improve laboratory efficiency and accuracy.
  • Resolve technical problems and ensure adherence to standard operating protocols, technical references, state and federal regulations.
  • Monitor and submit data regarding test correlation studies, quality control, quality improvement, and reporting of test results.
  • Train new employees on laboratory procedures and policies.
  • Perform supervisory duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Registration as a Medical Technologist by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (MT ASCP) or equivalent experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of clinical laboratory experience.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or a Bachelor's Degree in the biological sciences and completion of an A.M.A. approved Medical Technology Program.
