Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Echocardiogram Specialist to join our team at Methodist Hospital. As a Traveling Echocardiogram Technician, you will be responsible for performing echocardiograms independently and providing high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform echocardiograms independently, adhering to hospital protocols and guidelines
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest echocardiogram techniques and technologies
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of hospital experience in echocardiogram technology
  • ARDMS certification required
  • BLS certification
  • Knowledge of anatomy and disease processes
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Work Environment:

Methodist Hospital is a faith-based, patient-focused healthcare organization with a wide range of specialties, including cardiology, cancer care, and emergency medicine. Our hospital features state-of-the-art equipment, including Philips IE33 and Epiq CVX ultrasound machines, and utilizes the Meditech documentation system.

Shift and Schedule Information:

  • Assignment length: 24 weeks
  • Shift details: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm, with weekend work required
  • Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
