Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Educational Assistant to join our team at Northfield Public Schools. As a Long Term Substitute General Educational Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the English Language teachers in grades K-5, promoting language development and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the classroom and work individually with students to support their language development and academic progress.
- Supervise students during the end of the day dismissal, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Collaborate with the English Language teachers to develop and implement effective instructional strategies.
- Provide support to students with diverse learning needs, adapting instruction to meet their individual requirements.
Requirements:
- A minimum of an Associate's degree or equivalent experience in education or a related field.
- Proven experience working with young children and in a team-based environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
Working Conditions:
This is a part-time temporary position, working Monday to Friday, 7:45 am to 3:30 pm. The successful candidate will be required to undergo a background check and complete a pre-work screening.
