Buried Construction Foreman

We are seeking a highly skilled Buried Foreman to join our team at Kanaan Communications, LLC. As a key member of our construction crew, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation of underground cable and conduit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of construction workers in the installation of underground cable and conduit
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of production reports
• Oversee crew assignments and ensure all operating and safety procedures are followed
• Read and follow work orders and blueprints
• Operate various equipment, machinery, and tools to install and repair underground cable and conduit
• Perform manual labor tasks such as digging holes and trenches, and working in extreme weather conditions

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of previous construction experience, preferably in the telecommunications industry
• Knowledge of established buried/underground cable installation procedures and techniques
• Valid driver's license with CDL required
• Ability to drive a company vehicle in a safe and responsible manner
• Ability to meet critical deadlines under stressful conditions
• Highly organized and able to multitask
• Ability to accurately measure distance using tapes or other measuring devices

Physical Demands:

The employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Duties may also include getting up and out of the back of a truck 3-6 feet in height on a regular basis. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 80 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

Work Environment:

The employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat and vibration. The employee is regularly exposed to precarious places and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
