We are seeking a highly skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team at DMC Harper University/Hutzel Women's Hospital. As a Lead Technologist, you will be responsible for coordinating the flow of work, delegating tasks, and ensuring the department operates in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and oversee Angiography procedures, ensuring compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
- Delegate tasks and guide staff in carrying out their duties, resolving routine and complex problems as needed.
- Monitor work flow, ensuring quality and quantity of work is completed to department standards.
- Recommend personnel actions, including performance appraisals, hiring decisions, and progressive disciplines.
- Assist with monitoring performance improvement plans and scheduling of angiography technologists.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiology (RT) or Vascular-Interventional Radiography (VI) or Cardiovascular-Interventional (CV).
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BLS) training required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (ACLS) within 6 months of hire for employees working in adult settings or Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification (PALS) within 1 year of hire for employees working in cardiology settings.
- Two or more years of progressively more responsible Interventional Radiology work experience.
- Strong analytical and clinical skills, with ability to determine the most appropriate method of providing radiographs specific to patient needs.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to work effectively in a culturally diverse atmosphere.
- Technical knowledge necessary to operate equipment, including specialized equipment and computers.
- Ability to work productively and effectively within a complex environment, handling multiple and changing priorities.
