We are seeking compassionate and dedicated professionals to provide care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing Care: Assist clients with daily tasks, including meal preparation, housekeeping, running errands, and administering medication.
  • Supporting Independence: Teach essential life skills, help clients manage their finances, and promote personal hygiene.
  • Advocating for Rights: Collaborate with clients to communicate their needs and goals effectively, advocating for necessary services and resources.
  • Maintaining Records: Accurately document client progress and activities, including medication logs, behavioral assessments, and casework notes.
  • Creating a Safe Environment: Ensure that living environments meet state regulations and foster a safe, trusting atmosphere for clients.
  • Providing Emotional Support: Offer counseling and crisis intervention, fostering a supportive relationship to help clients navigate challenges.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in direct support or caregiving roles preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation with less than 6 points
