Nemours Children's Hospital Orlando Pediatric ICU Nurse Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse to join our team at Nemours Children's Hospital Orlando. As a PICU RN, you will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill children and their families, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill children, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and strengths of each patient and family.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to the development of patient care plans.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting health literacy and empowering them to take an active role in their care.
Requirements:
  • Active Florida or multi-state RN license.
  • Minimum of 6 months of RN experience in a pediatric ICU setting.
  • National certification in pediatric critical care (PCCN) or pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) nursing.
