Henkels & McCoy is a leading utility construction firm that provides critical infrastructure construction and maintenance services for the power, oil & gas pipeline, gas distribution, and communication markets throughout North America.

This position is a field-based role that requires the individual to travel daily to job sites, mostly in Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing all duties according to prescribed safety procedures and using appropriate safety equipment.
• Installing and/or relocating aerial and underground cable, including fiber optic, transportation, distribution, and drop cable, ensuring it meets industry standards and is technically reliable.
• Providing support for line crews during all phases of construction activity.

Qualifications include:

• Ability to climb pole to cable height using pole climber gaffs.
• Current valid driver's license (preferably CDL A) with a clean driving record.
• 2+ years of experience as a lineman, with knowledge to detect power space violations and safety issues.
• Ability to lift, reach, dig, and carry heavy objects, with frequent lifting up to 50 pounds and infrequent lifting of up to 100 pounds.

This position requires significant time doing manual labor functions, walking on uneven ground, working in tight spaces, and being overall physically demanding. The individual must be able to perform heavy physical work and duties in a safe and efficient manner.

Work will be performed up to 6 days per week in an all-weather environment, with willingness to travel as required.

A pre-employment, on-site certification will be required, and the applicant must successfully show that they can complete the duties as described within this document to the satisfaction of the construction supervision.
