Position Overview
This is a temporary role without associated benefits.



Key Responsibilities:

The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for delivering custodial services across designated areas and facilities, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. This role includes a variety of specialized cleaning tasks and minor maintenance duties.

This position reports to the designated Administrator.



Work Location:
Various educational sites.

Primary Duties:
  • Maintain cleanliness of assigned facilities and grounds to uphold a sanitary and appealing atmosphere.
  • Utilize various communication methods (e.g., written memos, verbal exchanges, and work orders) to coordinate activities and address any issues that arise.
  • Operate a range of cleaning equipment (e.g., carpet cleaners, floor scrubbers, polishers) to ensure the sanitation and upkeep of the premises.
  • Prepare facilities for daily operations, including unlocking doors and responding to site needs to maintain a hazard-free environment.
  • Restock supplies and dispensers (e.g., paper products, soap) to guarantee sufficient availability for daily use.
  • Address inquiries from staff, students, parents, and visitors to provide information and direct them to the appropriate resources for resolution.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:
Preferred one year of custodial or related experience. Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Equivalency:
Any combination of education, training, and relevant experience that meets the above qualifications.
