Physical Therapist for Acute Care Hospital Position in New York

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at an inpatient acute care hospital in Ithaca, New York. This 13-week assignment offers a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic team and make a positive impact on patient care.
About the Role
This is a travel position that requires the Physical Therapist to work Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience working in an acute care hospital setting and be licensed to practice in New York state. EMR experience and working on specialty units are highly valued skills.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality physical therapy services to patients in an inpatient acute care setting. This may include developing treatment plans, conducting evaluations and assessments, and implementing interventions to improve patient outcomes. The Physical Therapist will also be expected to maintain accurate records, communicate effectively with the healthcare team, and provide education to patients and families.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must have:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy
- 2+ years of experience working in an acute care hospital setting
- New York state licensure as a Physical Therapist
- EMR experience and/or experience working on specialty units

Compensation
The estimated weekly compensation for this role is $1,840-$3,200, based on a 40-hour workweek. This includes estimated taxable wages of $23.00-$40.00 per hour and tax-free reimbursements for meals, incidentals, and housing. Pay packages are based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week, with tax-free stipend amounts determined by the facility.
