Adjunct Graphic Design and Digital Media Instructor

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Graphic Design and Digital Media Instructor to join our faculty team at Indian River State College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching college credit courses in Graphic Design and Digital Media, as well as developing and implementing curriculum to meet the needs of our students.
Key Responsibilities- Teach college credit courses in Graphic Design and Digital Media, including Photoshop, Illustrator, QuarkXPress, Adobe Premiere, Avid, web design, animation, and video/sound editing software.
- Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of our students, including creating new courses and updating existing ones.
- Grade all quizzes, tests, and written exams and assignments, and assign final grades and deliver grade justification sheets.
- Maintain regularly scheduled office hours to meet with students and provide support and guidance.
- Participate in department meetings and contribute to the development of departmental goals and objectives.
- Stay current in emerging technologies related to the field and adapt curriculum accordingly.
- Master's degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media, or related field.
- Teaching and at least three years of documented industry experience in Graphic Design, Video Production, Computer Animation, Game Development, or Web Publishing.
- Expertise in the use of Adobe products for Graphic Design, Web Design, and non-linear video editing (Premiere, After Effects, and/or others).
- Digital Media candidates should demonstrate expertise in the use of 3D software, such as Autodesk Maya, Mudbox, or Zbrush.
- All instructors must meet the appropriate credentialing requirements for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).
This position requires an ability to sit, stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, lift, reach up, stoop, carry items occasionally in excess of twenty-five (25) pounds. It also requires manual dexterity to operate standard office machines, such as a copier, fax, telephone, and other equipment as necessary.
