- Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including comprehensive physical assessments and gathering medical histories.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as imaging and laboratory studies, identifying any abnormalities.
- Administer therapeutic interventions, including injections, immunizations, and wound care.
- Develop and implement patient management strategies, ensuring continuity of care through detailed progress notes.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, health maintenance, and lifestyle modifications.
- Depending on the specialty, additional duties may include:
- Facilitating patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Assisting in surgical procedures and performing necessary post-operative evaluations.
- Providing pre-operative education and addressing patient inquiries regarding procedures and recovery.

- Completion of an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program.
- California Physician Assistant License required upon hire.
- National Certification for Physician Assistants required upon hire.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- National Provider Identifier required upon hire.
- Fluoroscopy Permit may be required within 18 months of hire for specific specialties.
- Ability to work in a collaborative Labor/Management Partnership environment.
