Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at General Dynamics Information Technology. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for repairing, installing, replacing, and testing complex electrical circuits, cables, equipment, and appliances.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and maintain electrical systems, including circuit breakers, transformers, and electrical panels.
  • Install and test electrical equipment, including motors, generators, and switchgear.
  • Replace faulty electrical components, including switches, sockets, and circuit breakers.
  • Inspect and test electrical systems to ensure they are functioning properly and safely.
  • Read and interpret electrical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems.
  • Provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced team members.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures and protocols.
  • Participate in special projects as required.
Requirements
  • Associates degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience.
  • 3 years of related electrical experience.
  • Ability to obtain a DBIDS Badge for access to Naval Bases, Naval Facilities, and private shipyards (BAE, NASSCO, etc.).
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Travel may be required.
