Painter II

Job Summary

The Painter II will be responsible for applying a wide range of industrial liquid coatings to metal and plastic parts. This role requires surface preparation, primer application, and quality control to ensure proper adhesion and finish.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for coating by sanding, buffing, or chemical wipe.

• Apply primer, intermediate, and top coats to ensure proper adhesion.

• Mix paints according to specifications and read PDS for coatings and SOW for parts.

• Mask and protect areas not to be coated.

• Inspect painted parts for quality and workmanship.

• Apply paint, stain, and other finishes using spray guns.

• Clean equipment and work areas.

• Review and implement work orders and assignments.

• Maintain paint material inventory and utilize safety equipment.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in wet painting operations.

• Good color vision and aesthetic instincts.

• Quality conscious and detail-oriented.

• Familiarity with painting tools and materials.

• Time management skills to ensure tasks are completed on schedule.
