Heavy Equipment Mechanic Specialist

Engineers Construction, Inc. (ECI) in Williston, VT is seeking a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. This full-time position offers a competitive salary of $30-$40 per hour, with overtime paid after 8 hours each day.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience repairing and maintaining construction equipment and heavy trucks, as well as strong leadership and management skills. Duties will include all aspects of equipment and truck maintenance and repairs, triage, digital record keeping, and supervision. Work will be mixed between the shop and on-the-road, with a fully outfitted service truck available.
This role requires a strong understanding of hydraulic systems, electrical systems, diesel technology, drive train systems, suspension systems, and braking systems. A CDL is preferred, and fabrication experience and welding certifications are desirable.
We're looking for an individual who can lead and supervise others, with good problem-solving skills, communication skills, and attention to detail. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential, as is being organized, neat, and professional.
