Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our pediatric team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing care in accordance with the North Carolina Board of Nursing-Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, and other established standards. This includes delivering nursing care in accordance with ECU Health and entity-specific policies, procedures, and professional standards of care/practice.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the provision and coordination of nursing care, including the collection and analysis of assessment data, identification of expected outcomes, and development of a plan of care in collaboration with the patient/family and other interdisciplinary team members. They will also identify interventions to attain expected outcomes, implement the interventions identified in the plan of care, evaluate the progress of the patient/family toward attainment of outcomes, and document the process. This care will include sensitivity to age-specific and unique needs of the patient/family. Additionally, the successful candidate will promote and evaluate the effective functioning of the healthcare team, collaborate with healthcare team members to meet the identified needs of the patient/family throughout the episode of care, and delegate tasks and activities as appropriate and governed by the NC Nurse Practice Act.

Requirements

The minimum requirements for this position include a current North Carolina Registered Nurse license or licensure to practice in a participating Nurse Licensure Compact state and American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
