Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist warehouse staff and logistics teams in the organization and movement of equipment.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, colleagues, and management to ensure smooth operations.
  • Operate various types of vehicles including pick-ups, flatbeds, and semi-trucks while adhering to all relevant regulations and safety protocols.
  • Ensure that all necessary safety equipment and documentation are present and up-to-date in the vehicle.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle, ensuring it is free from clutter and debris.
  • Accurately record time and activities related to vehicle inspections, loading/unloading, and other work tasks.
  • Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and cargo securement to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Report any safety concerns or mechanical issues to a supervisor promptly.
  • Safely transport company equipment to various job sites and warehouses in a timely manner.
  • Operate forklifts as required for the role.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors or management.

Supervisor Responsibilities: None

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English, including understanding traffic signs and responding to inquiries.
  • Familiarity with BrandSafway's products and equipment.
  • Completion of forklift training programs, if applicable.
  • Must be at least 21 years old to operate commercial vehicles over 10,000 lbs. GVWR.
  • Ability to obtain a Federal DOT Medical Certificate, if necessary.
  • Must meet Driver Evaluation Criteria established by the Corporate Safety Department.
  • Previous experience in the construction sector is preferred.
  • 1 to 3 years of driving experience with successful completion of a road test is required.
  • A valid CDL A/B Commercial Driver's License is mandatory.
  • High School diploma or equivalent education is required.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
  • Basic math skills (9th grade level) for inventory tracking are necessary.
  • Must present a professional appearance at all times.

Physical Demands:

The role may require extended periods of sitting or standing, as well as walking, stooping, kneeling, or crawling. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds of equipment.

Work Environment:

Employees will work in various weather conditions, including inclement weather. Exposure to airborne particles and moderate to loud noise levels may occur while working in the yard, warehouse, or job sites.
