Role Overview:

As a Medical Imaging Technologist, you will be responsible for entering and monitoring patient data, transferring images from disk to magnetic media to produce transparency, and developing film using automated processing equipment. You will ensure the prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to the PACS, maintaining image quality, correct lead markers, and accurate patient data/history.

Your role will also involve ensuring that all imaging equipment is functioning properly and reporting any potential issues or malfunctions to the appropriate personnel. Additionally, you will assist in maintaining a clean and organized department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, and film storage areas.


Licensure / Certification / Registration Requirements:

Must possess Nuclear Medical Tech credentials from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) prior to the hire date or job transfer date. Radiography (R), Nuclear Medicine Technology (N), Sonography (S), or Vascular Sonography (VS) credentials are also acceptable.

Medical Sonographer credentials from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) must be obtained prior to the hire date or job transfer date. Preference will be given to Radiologic Technologists specializing in General Practice, credentialed by the Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist Certification Program.
