Digital Mammography Specialist

Key Responsibilities
- Consistently perform high-quality digital mammograms
- Follow established protocols based on the needs of the individual patient and ordered exam
- Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure safety and comfort during the exam
- Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations and to ensure the safety of patients and staff
- Evaluate images for technical quality
- Maintain the cleanliness of the mammography machine and associated equipment in accordance with infection control policies and procedures
Requirements
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Completion of a course in imaging technology approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Current certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and board-certified or board-eligible in Mammography (must obtain certification within one year of hire)
- Active WA state license or pending application
