Orthopedic Technician

Children's Hospital Colorado is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Orthopedic Technician to join our team. As an Orthopedic Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.

The Orthopedic Technician will assist professional staff in administering healthcare and support needs of patients and families in a hospital/urgent care/clinic setting. This role will perform delegated activities as outlined in the Unlicensed Assistive Personnel and Orthopedic Competency Guidelines.

• Assist professional staff in administering healthcare and support needs of patients and families
• Perform delegated activities as outlined in the Unlicensed Assistive Personnel and Orthopedic Competency Guidelines
• Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
• Provide developmentally appropriate care to infants and children with complex health care needs
• Document patient care and progress in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Professional experience, beyond requirements, in a related field may substitute for a Bachelor degree requirement on a year for year basis
• BLS for Healthcare Providers / CPR certification
• Registered Orthopedic Technologist preferred

The Orthopedic Technician will work in a fast-paced hospital/urgent care/clinic setting, interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. The role will require the ability to work effectively in a team environment, prioritize tasks, and manage stress.
