We are seeking a qualified individual for the position of Surgical Technologist specializing in Vascular Surgery. Below are the essential details:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse, completion of a Surgical Technology program, completion of a Registered Nurse program, or completion of a summer surgical tech extern program OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and two (2) years of previous scrub experience.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience in Surgical Technology is preferred.
CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Employs high-quality aseptic techniques in the operating room.
  • Conducts sponge, instrument, and needle counts accurately.
  • Assists surgeons with gowning and gloving procedures.
  • Prepares necessary supplies and equipment for surgical interventions.
  • Monitors inventory levels and restocks supplies as needed.
  • Assists with cleaning and maintaining the operating environment.
  • Performs checks on surgical equipment.
  • Assists with patient charge documentation.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift items weighing up to 40 pounds.
