Job Summary:The Certified Nursing Assistant II will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This role involves assisting patients with activities of daily living, collecting non-invasive body fluid specimens, and gathering vital signs. The successful candidate will also participate in the admission of patients, assist with screening, and contribute to the Quality Assurance and Improvement Plans.
Responsibilities:- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including dressing, bathing, and eating.
- Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and gather vital signs.
- Participate in the admission of patients to the Nursing Unit.
- Assist assigned patients with activities of daily living.
- Provide patient care as assigned in accordance with patients' needs and LMC policy.
- Ensure emergencies are immediately and appropriately addressed according to LMC policy and procedure.
- Participate in organizational and professional activities.
- Participate in Compression Care Plan (Federal Tag).
- Current and valid Texas Nurse Aide Registry by the Texas Department of Human Services.
- BLS; Must be completed prior to patient contact.
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred or experience.
- 1-2 years Nursing home or long term care experience.
- 2 Letters of Recommendation.
