LinQuest is seeking a highly skilled Space Systems Architect to lead the development of protected tactical system-resilience (PTS-R) for the Space Systems Command (SSC). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in technical requirements development, systems engineering, and integration of complex space systems.

About the Role:
  • The Space Systems Architect will be responsible for leading technical requirements development and overseeing development contractors to design, produce, integrate, and test space systems.
  • This position requires experience with payload integration and interface control management.
  • The successful candidate will perform system integration of multiple efforts to integrate complex space systems, ground segment integration, and deployment into operation.
  • This role involves managing and negotiating interface control documents with external stakeholders.
  • The Space Systems Architect will also oversee requirements verification and validation.
  • Making program risks assessments and providing actionable recommendations to the chief engineer and program manager are essential duties.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead Technical Requirements Development: Develop and manage technical requirements for space systems, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  2. Oversee Development Contractors: Collaborate with development contractors to design, produce, integrate, and test space systems, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
  3. Payload Integration and Interface Control Management: Ensure seamless integration of payloads and effective management of interface control documents.
  4. System Integration: Integrate multiple efforts to develop complex space systems, ground segment integration, and deployment into operation.
  5. Requirements Verification and Validation: Oversee the verification and validation of requirements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  6. Program Risks Assessments: Identify and mitigate program risks, providing actionable recommendations to the chief engineer and program manager.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor of Science degree or more experience; a Master of Science degree or 20 years of experience is preferred.
  • Experience with space systems and/or military satellite communication systems.
  • Technical requirements development, systems engineering, systems integration, and overseeing development contractor to develop, design, produce, integrate, and test space systems.
  • Requirements verification and validation.
  • An in-scope security background investigation (T5 or SSBI), adjudicated for SCI eligibility and enrolled in the Continuous Evaluation program.
  • Nomination for access to Sensitive Compartment Information and Special Access Programs and willingness to consent to a Polygraph examination.
Compensation:

The salary for this position ranges from approximately $190,000 to $230,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
