Gas Pipefitter

Job Summary

The Gas Pipefitter is a critical role in the construction, maintenance, and repair of natural gas distribution infrastructure. This position involves performing various fusing tasks associated with new construction, repair, and maintenance of existing gas utility lines and related systems/equipment.

Responsibilities

• Support crew with handling and fusing gas pipe.
• Fuse pipe that is ditched or drilled in the ground.
• Ensure every fuse meets quality standards.
• Keep tools in complete working order.
• Locate utilities by hand with a shovel and probe.
• Manage inventory on the truck.
• Teach other employees how to fuse pipe to the correct specs.
• Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, or equivalent.
• 1 year of gas pipeline experience.
