Cardiovascular Imaging Specialist

Insight Global Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled cardiovascular sonographer to join their team in a rapidly growing Heart & Vascular organization. This health system is expanding and looking for new additions to their various clinics in North Carolina. The successful candidate will work alongside a team of 6-7 medical imaging professionals in a clinic setting and collaborate closely with physicians to provide high-quality care.
Schedule and Responsibilities
Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm. No holidays or weekends. The cardiovascular sonographer will be responsible for preparing exam rooms and ultrasound equipment to conduct sonography examinations in accordance with infectious disease, sterilization, and patient safety protocols. They will also conduct patient clinical assessments and perform diagnostic medical sonography examinations ordered by supervising physicians. Additionally, the sonographer will apply independent judgment during examinations to ensure accurate anatomical, pathological, and clinical conditions are captured in the examination images. They will also review examination images, synthesize results, and prepare preliminary reports for providers.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have an associate's degree in sonography, radiology, or a related field. They will also be registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or registry eligible and become registered within one year from date of hire. The candidate must maintain registry status and continuing education requirements annually. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a team environment are also essential. The candidate should have proficiency in medical terminology and anatomy knowledge, as well as an understanding of physiology and its relation to vascular conditions.
