We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Underground Construction Technician to join our team at Charter Communications. As a key member of our Field Operations business unit, you will play a critical role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of our fiber optic network.
Key Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair cables, equipment, and infrastructure in underground settings
- Work collaboratively with a team of experienced technicians to complete construction projects
- Operate heavy machinery and equipment, including street cutting and drilling, trenching, and excavating
- Ensure projects are completed on time and to a high standard of quality
- Travel regularly to new locations to complete key projects
- 2-4 years of experience in OSP underground construction/maintenance
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge of outside plant construction standards
- Strong attention to detail, teamwork, initiative, communication, adaptability, and consistency
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
- Class A CDL (commercial driver's license)
- OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) certification
