Job Summary:

Bilfinger is seeking a skilled Welder Foreman to join our team in Lafayette, Indiana. As a Welder Foreman, you will be responsible for leading a team of welders and ensuring the quality of our industrial services.

Key Responsibilities:

Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding, applying knowledge of geometry, physical properties of metal, and welding techniques.
Welds components in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions, using arc, gas shielding arc, automatic wire feed, or gas welding equipment.
Inspects and maintains gas equipment, including changing gauges, repairing hoses, and disconnecting, removing, replacing, and connecting oxygen and acetylene bottles.
Tests and inspects welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws, and determines the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.

Requirements:

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in welding carbon and stainless steel.
Proficiency in reading blueprint and isometric drawings.
Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills.
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in harsh and/or stressful conditions.
