As a Food & Nutrition Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing assistance in all dietary functions as directed and in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
* Demonstrates commitment to company's mission, values and standards of ethical behavior.
* Models a positive and professional image that emulates the organization's mission and encourages a spirit of cooperation with co-workers.
* Ensures that all residents are treated fairly, with kindness, dignity, and respect, and their rights are protected at all times.
* Respects and upholds all residents' personal and property rights whenever carrying out duties, including knocking before entering a resident's room.
* Complies with all company and departmental policies and procedures.
* Ensures that dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies, production sheets and recipes, including the use of adaptive devices per instructions.
* Serves meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance.
* Sets-up tray cards, food carts, dining room, etc., as instructed for meal service.
* Assists in ensuring that meals are prepared and delivered on time and at proper temperature.
Requirements:
* Previous dietary experience in acute or long term care environment preferred
* Completion of Food Handling training and certification
