About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our team at Augusta University's Department of Juvenile Justice Health Services. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care to our youth population.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Guide patient teaching, nursing activities, and ancillary personnel.
  • Provide superior service to our youth, facility staff, family, and outside vendors.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia.
  • 1 year of previous experience in a clinical setting.
  • Good organizational and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and relate well to patients, security staff, visitors, and co-workers.
  • Functions within the Georgia Board of Nursing Nurse Practice Act.
  • Current Health Care Provider BCLS Certification.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs and perform physical demands of the job.
