Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Safety Programs: Design and enforce safety protocols and procedures in compliance with regulatory standards, such as OSHA and DOT.
  • Conduct Risk Assessments and Safety Audits: Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Training and Education: Lead safety training sessions for employees, contractors, and new hires on topics such as equipment usage, hazard identification, and emergency response.
  • Incident Investigation and Reporting: Investigate accidents, injuries, and near-miss incidents to determine root causes and prevent recurrence.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and update the organization on any changes.
  • Promote a Safety Culture: Develop campaigns and initiatives to encourage a proactive safety culture within the company.
  • Monitor Workplace Conditions: Regularly inspect facilities, equipment, and work areas to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in occupational health, safety management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in safety management, preferably in warehousing and distribution.
  • Certifications: Certified Safety Professional (CSP), OSHA certification, or similar safety qualifications preferred.
  • Skills and Competencies: Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices, excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to lead and motivate teams, analytical and problem-solving skills, and proficiency with safety management software and reporting tools.
