We are seeking a highly motivated and animal-loving individual to join our team as a Canine Coach at Dogtopia of Arlington Heights.

Job Summary

The Canine Coach is responsible for providing a safe and fun environment for dogs in our playroom. This includes supervising play, educating dogs, and maintaining a clean and healthy play area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise playrooms and educate dogs on good behavior
  • Proactively manage a large group of dogs in open-play to reinforce good behavior and keep them playing well
  • Continuously walk the room to reward positive behaviors and manage the energy level by redirecting dogs when necessary
  • Learn Dogtopia's positive-reinforcement and redirection process for gently addressing undesirable behaviors
  • Engage in stimulating, fun, educational activities and games with the dogs
Requirements
  • A dog lover with a passion for animal behavior and welfare
  • A team player with excellent communication skills
  • Able to work flexible days and hours, including evenings, holidays, and weekends
  • Able to lift up to 40 pounds
