Position Overview:
As an ATM/ITM Maintenance Technician I, you will be responsible for providing essential first-line maintenance for Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) and Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs). Your role will involve monitoring machine performance through automated systems to identify issues and assess cash levels. You will also prepare detailed reports for supervisory review to ensure accurate balancing of machines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cash Handling and Balancing:
    Assist with the replenishment of cash in ATMs/ITMs and manage daily deposit processing. This includes:
    • Collecting cash and check deposits, as well as handling cash rejects from machines.
    • Reconciling and balancing cash amounts.
    • Counting cash in each deposit bag to ensure it matches the total recorded on the receipt.
    • Completing balancing spreadsheets accurately.
    • Preparing general ledger entries to maintain deposit accuracy.
    • Communicating with merchant tellers regarding cash requirements for balancing.
    • Adhering to vault security policies and procedures.
  • First-Line Maintenance:
    Provide immediate maintenance services that do not require specialized parts or tools. Responsibilities include:
    • Performing resets, clearing media jams, and addressing currency jams.
    • Conducting simple repairs and replenishing necessary supplies.
    • Inspecting skimming devices and ensuring periodic cleaning of the terminal and equipment.
    • Monitoring all bank-owned ITMs for operational errors, including communication issues, low paper supply, currency jams, and cash levels.
