Housing Resources of Western Colorado is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. As a key member of our weatherization program, you will be responsible for installing and repairing HVAC systems in residential homes, ensuring the comfort and safety of our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Install and repair gas or electric furnaces and water heaters in site-built and manufactured homes
- Perform CAZ testing after replacement installations are complete
- Follow safety standards and promote safe on-site job practices and vehicle operation safety
- Ability to perform accurate load calculations and maintain assigned vehicle and test equipment
- Attend program meetings and in-house or state-level training sessions
- Proven experience in residential HVAC and water heater repair and installation
- Understanding of residential building science and proper HVAC system design
- NATE Furnace Certification and training highly desirable
- Refrigeration certification desired
- Ability to communicate effectively with the general public and work effectively with weatherization crews
This position requires working in both office and job site environments in all weather conditions. You will be required to climb a 26' ladder, traverse and work on a roof with a pitch of 4 per 12 run, and crawl through crawl spaces. A valid Colorado driver's license is also required.
