Pipefitting Technician

Schedule Requirements:
Flexibility to work various shifts and days, including nights, weekends, and holidays to accommodate operational needs.

Joining our Plumbing team at Worlds of Fun entails conducting inspections, performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing all plumbing systems throughout the park, including restrooms and food service areas.

Responsibilities:
Responds to requests from the Director of Maintenance, Maintenance Manager, and Facilities General Foreman. Provides assistance to the Oceans of Fun Maintenance Foreman as required. Undertakes general labor tasks as directed.

Utilizing blueprints, drawings, models, or verbal instructions, executes general plumbing tasks including the assembly, installation, and repair of water and drainage pipes, fittings, and fixtures with a variety of hand and power tools, as well as standard measuring instruments.

Performs standard calculations related to work dimensions. Selects appropriate materials necessary for the tasks.

Delivers guest service in accordance with Cedar Fair standards when interacting with guests or collaborating with team members, including initiating guest interactions, addressing inquiries, and providing directions.

Ensures cleanliness and safety in the designated work area, adhering to Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements, and reports any unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.

Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to align with operational needs. Complies with Cedar Fair's attendance policies.

Adheres to Cedar Fair's Rules of Conduct, including specific grooming and costuming standards as outlined in Employee Guidelines and other park/division-specific policies and procedures.

Additional duties may be assigned. Varied shifts. Six-day workweeks during peak seasons.

Qualifications:
Ability to interpret and analyze materials, including blueprints and drawings. Familiarity with and ability to utilize fall protection equipment. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both senior management and seasonal employees in problem resolution. Engages with individuals both within and outside the organization.
Must be able to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, in accordance with Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.

Must be able to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references, in accordance with Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.

Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet operational needs. Valid Driver's License. 5-7 years of commercial plumbing experience required. High School Diploma/GED.
