Vertical Integration: The organization is fully integrated, showcasing a significant presence throughout the pork value chain, from production to consumption. Christensen Farms holds the largest stake in Triumph Foods LLC, a producer-owned primary pork processing facility located in St. Joseph, Missouri. Triumph Foods members also own 50% of Daily's Premium Meats, a specialty processor of bacon and other high-quality pork products. Additionally, Triumph Foods has a 50% partnership in Seaboard Triumph Foods, LLC, situated in Sioux City, Iowa, which serves as a primary pork processing plant.

Position Overview: The Facilities Services Technician is tasked with evaluating and assessing the condition of equipment, the structural integrity of facilities (both interior and exterior), and the electrical systems across all company assets. This role involves determining the end-of-life status of equipment, proposing replacement schedules, and formulating associated budgets. The position requires travel and overnight stays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive site assessments across all operational regions, focusing on equipment condition, replacement timelines, electrical systems, and the structural integrity of buildings.
  • Maintain a detailed database of facility conditions along with a forecast for asset replacements.
  • Recommend improvements and repairs based on assessment findings.
  • Assist in the development and documentation of detailed project scopes and work plans.
  • Gather quotes for suggested repairs to provide accurate project estimates for budgeting and approval.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma is required; proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is essential.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in hog farm repair and/or installation is necessary.
  • Experience in conducting electrical inspections is required.
  • Familiarity with hog terminology is preferred.
  • Additional skills include previous construction experience, knowledge of equipment functionality, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints. Attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively are essential. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, along with a basic understanding of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

Reporting Structure: This position reports to the Capital Planning Construction Manager.

Management Scope: This role is a contributor position without managerial responsibilities.

Supervision: No direct or indirect supervision of others is required.
