Job Summary:We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated High School English Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English Language Arts to high school students, developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, and creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and learning, a strong commitment to academic excellence, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
Responsibilities:- Teach English Language Arts to high school students, including reading, writing, and discussion skills.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes academic excellence and social-emotional growth.
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
- Collaborate with colleagues and students to achieve academic goals and promote a positive school culture.
- Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification or eligibility for certification in New York State.
- At least 1-2 years of teaching experience, preferably in an urban setting.
- Strong commitment to academic excellence and social-emotional learning.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
