Position Overview
The role of the Nutrition Services Manager in Training is designed to assist the Food Service Manager in overseeing daily operational and financial activities to ensure adherence to relevant regulations. Key responsibilities include supporting cafeteria personnel with food preparation, meal delivery, monitoring food inventory and quality, and ensuring compliance with USDA School Breakfast Program (SBP) and National School Lunch Program (NSLP) standards along with health regulations.

Core Responsibilities

  • Acquire managerial expertise under the guidance of the Food Service Manager to prepare for future leadership roles
  • Assist in the training of new staff members
  • Conduct follow-up assessments for newly hired employees
  • Serve as a substitute when required
  • Engage in managerial meetings and participate in on-site training initiatives
  • Complete additional assigned duties as necessary

Additional Responsibilities

  • Offer support to colleagues to improve overall work efficiency
Minimum Qualifications
