Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at the University of Maryland Medical System. As a Radiologic Technologist - PRN, you will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic radiographic procedures and ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of diagnostic radiographic procedures to ensure the quality and continuity of patient care.
  • Identify each patient and review each patient's requisition for consistency of examination ordered with clinical diagnosis and all demographic information.
  • Record pertinent data in the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) at all times.
  • Assess patient condition, ensure patient safety through proper radiation safety practices and proper positioning devices.
  • Review each examination for technical accuracy, present completed examination to a radiologist and communicate pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of the patient following the procedure.
  • Process all patients through the system immediately upon completion of the exam to ensure proper documentation and billing information.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved Radiologic Technology School.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and licensed by the state of Maryland.
  • Up to two (2) years radiology and six (6) months operating room experience following graduation from an approved school.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Demonstrate competence and ability to use equipment in a safe and proper manner.
Additional Information

This is a PRN position, working Monday through Sunday nights as needed, 10:30pm-7:00am.
