Albany Medical Center seeks a skilled and experienced Assistant Nurse Manager to join our team. As a key member of our nursing leadership, you will be responsible for coordinating, planning, and administering various duties in collaboration with other nursing supervisors and leaders.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide professional caregivers in delivering exceptional patient care. You will also play a crucial role in facilitating patient access, transitions, and communication throughout the acute care stay.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and plan various administrative and operational duties in collaboration with nursing supervisors and leaders.
  • Mentor and guide professional caregivers in delivering exceptional patient care.
  • Facilitate patient access, transitions, and communication throughout the acute care stay.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate policies, programs, and services consistent with the hospital's mission and departmental/unit vision and philosophy.
  • Provide direction and support to unit-based staff and collaborate with other service and department leaders toward attainment of short- and long-term goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
