We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Therapist to join our team at Comprehensive Behavior Supports in Ridgefield Park, NJ.
Job OverviewIn this rewarding role, you will work closely with children with Autism and their families to provide evidence-based interventions that promote positive behaviors and independence. About the RoleAs a Behavioral Therapist, you will be responsible for providing one-on-one ABA services to support the development of children with Autism. This will involve working collaboratively with a clinical team to implement individualized care plans, tracking progress, and creating positive learning environments that foster growth and success.
You will also have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), which is expanding rapidly and offers solid job security and room for advancement.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Direct ABA Services: Offer one-on-one interventions to support the development of children with Autism, focusing on increasing independence and positive behaviors.
- Collaborate with a Clinical Team: Work alongside a dedicated group of professionals to implement individualized care plans that focus on skill-building and growth.
- Track Progress: Use electronic devices to accurately record session data and monitor each child's development and progress.
- Create Positive Learning Environments: Build strong relationships with children and their families to foster a supportive, nurturing atmosphere that promotes success.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Passion for learning and a desire to make a difference in the lives of children with Autism.
- A background or interest in psychology or education—whether you're studying or have studied these fields, you're a great fit.
- Patient, compassionate, and able to remain calm in challenging situations.
- Willingness to complete a 40-hour Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training (we provide this).
- A 6-month commitment to support our clients and help them succeed.

Our estimated salary for this role is $45,000-$60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
