Archaeological Specialist

Dewberry is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Archaeologist to join our national cultural resource group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing field staff, conducting archaeological field investigations, and preparing final reports.
Responsibilities:
* Manage field staff and oversee archaeological field investigations
* Conduct background research and regulatory reviews
* Prepare final reports and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Requirements:
* Master's degree in anthropology, archaeology, or a related field
* At least 5 years of experience as a principal investigator with experience conducting in-field archaeology and writing compliance reports
* Experience supervising and conducting field surveys in Virginia and surrounding states
* Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations, including Section 106/110 of the National Historic Preservation Act and Virginia DEQ PBR regulations
