Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Technician-CDL Driver LTI to join our team at Loram Technologies. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for driving a variety of vehicles for the transport of Company equipment, planning and executing safe and efficient Bulk fill cycles for both GF and TOR units on various Friction Management customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive and/or operate vehicles to and from jobsites in a safe and responsible manner
  • Maintain a well-running truck and trailer while in possession and after trips, including servicing as needed
  • Ensure equipment is properly loaded, weight distributed, secured, and protected for transportation
  • Plan and execute safe and efficient Bulk fill cycles for both GF and TOR units on various Friction Management customers
  • Perform DOT inspections per regulations and maintain accurate and up-to-date DOT logbooks
  • Secure required special permits as needed and manage inventory held on maintenance vehicles through company processes
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/Equivalent
  • 1+ Years of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of Loram Maintenance of Way equipment and its role in a highly demanding customer service environment
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, with strong technical skills such as mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and machine operations
  • Ability to manage 24-hour operations and focus on machine maintenance to maximize performance and ensure a safe working environment for railroad and Loram personnel
  • Currently holds a CDL Driver's License and DOT Medical Card, with all Railroad Specific Certifications to operate on track and Loram Operating Rules Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate Degree with Technical Certification
Working Conditions:

This position is a Safety Sensitive role, requiring up to 100% travel, including international, using any method of transportation. The physical demands of the role include the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, apply high levels of cognitive, analytical, retention, and reasoning, and tolerate variable and sometimes extreme physical conditions during visits or inspections of company equipment in a railroad environment.
