Commercial Painter

At Commercial Painting Co. Inc., we are seeking a skilled Commercial Painter to join our team.

Job Summary:

The primary responsibilities of this role include a thorough knowledge of paint and paint products, mixing and tinting paint, application to surfaces, and maintaining a clean and orderly jobsite.

Key Responsibilities:

• Communicate with foremen and other workers to determine painting requirements
• Paint interiors and exteriors of commercial buildings
• Assemble scaffolding as required
• Cover trim, floors, furniture, and other surfaces with masking tape, drop cloths, and other protective coverings to keep them free of paint
• Set up ventilators and other safety equipment
• Prepare surfaces to be painted by washing them, filling holes and cracks with putty, and sanding them until they're smooth
• Apply primer and other sealers to paint surfaces
• Mix and match paint, stain, and other finishes to job specifications
• Apply paint, stain, and other finishes to paint surfaces using paintbrushes, rollers, or sprayers
• Maintain an inventory of supplies like paint brushes, rollers, and tarps
• Remove old finish using scrapers, chemical compounds, or other equipment
• Power wash and sandblast surfaces as part of various projects
• Clean machines, equipment, and work areas using water, solvents, and other cleaning aids
• Follow safeguards, rules, and regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of commercial painting or drywall finishing experience
